Richard Ramirez killed at least 14 people, he raped and tortured at least two dozen more. And yet, being detained in San Quentin State Prison, he has an enormous number of female groupies that are crazy about him.
Director Shoko Hara is one of them. Deathrock legend Eva O. is one of them. Sarah, who works with children in a conservative German town, is one of them, too. Through their perspective we revisit exchanged letters and emotions that are as obsessive as they are hauntingly familiar.
“Just a Guy”, our first foray into the animated documentary genre, started its highly successful festival run in 2020. We are very gateful to see the film enjoy a very rewarding response and so far won the Golden Dragen at Krakow Film Festival and the Grand Prix an Animafest Zagreb.
